On the 5^th July my good friend Jamie asked me to assist at his Wedding of Lauren & John as his usual assistant was on honeymoon. I’ve forever followed Jamie’s work and knew this would be a fantastic day of laughing and learning.

We had met the previous day for a scrumptious burger at the Barking Dog and immediately I knew we would click on a job. Undoubtedly flattered to be asked to help out, there was no need for convincing me.

I don’t think I could even finish my lunch as I was hanging on to every word he was saying, just laughing myself stupid. His tales of Weddings are fascinating and his career is inspiring to say the least.

Jamie has been working as a freelance photographer for many years and he is just fantastic at keeping everyone relaxed and excited at the same time. He had complete control throughout the day a pleasure to work for.

Lauren & John were to be married at 12 noon and as I travelled to the Groom’s house I was a tad nervous to be thrown in to a couple’s home I had never met and to be left there covering the groom’s preparations. When I met John that morning he had the biggest grin on his face as he greeted me and throughout his harrowing task of ironing his own shirt. The boys were calm and just wanted to get into their sports car and see what it could do.

After the service, photographs were taken at Scrabo Tower and following by the Galgorm resort & Spa. So here’s a wee insight into team Jamie & Carrie…

It was a fantastic day and thank you to Lauren & John, hope you have a lifetime of happiness.
